Anaconda counters every movement of your body demanding muscle contractions

Stroops® High Resistance Slastix® long time
staple, the new shorter version of the Accelerator, the Takedown has a unique
characteristic that allows the athlete to feel like he fighting against a very
real opponent. The constant pressure the athlete must control when performing a
movement has very close similarities to that of an opponent leaning or pushing
against you without the physical wear on your body. The shortened length of this
Slastix® provides an IMMEDIATE level of resistance, which is perfect for close
combat sports. The Takedown is a great training tool for pinning up against the
cage or on to the floor requiring your upper body to maintain constant pressure
& weight on them or you become susceptible to easy escapes etc.
For Grapplers, the Takedown serves 2 primary purposes. Training from your back
and training from a top position. From a stand up position it helps initiates a
“lower-body-drive” throughout a takedown and maintaining that constant
pressure. The biggest mistake Amateur wrestlers & weak MMA grapplers make on
takedowns is they do NOT finish. After using the Takedown you will feel more
explosive, stronger and have the confidence to keep the lower body moving when
you fail to get depth in a takedown attempt.
As a grappler or Jujitsu artist, from your back it gives you the sensation that
someone is pulling you toward them, so when “shrimping” you feel pressure as
if someone was on you. You can also do it in reverse as if someone was pushing
you down as you reverse shrimp. Also great for stand ups & conventional
Wresting drills.
Lateral movement with the Takedown will rip your core to shreds. Working on a
plane that we are similar to applying force in multiple directions training
laterally from a push up position engages the core and muscles you cannot
simulate any other way, especially when referring to movements necessary to pass
guard, or to “T-out” when in the top position.
ACCELERATOR

Stroops® High Resistance Slastix® long time
staple, the 10 foot Accelerator has a unique characteristic that allows the
athlete to feel like he is being pushed up against. The constant pressure when
it is stretched has very close similarities to that of an opponent leaning or
pushing against you without the physical wear on your body. Great training tool
for pinning up against the cage when anchored on the opposing top side of the
cage as your upper body must maintain constant pressure or you become
susceptible to easy escapes etc.

things. They have an ability to finish more quickly &/or think more quickly.
Because the Accelerator stretches nearly 20 feet, it allows you to combine 2 or
3 forward pressing moves and link them together. Or just the simple fact that
you will maintain your lower body drive throughout the exercise.
ALL LEGS

Escaping the bottom position or controlling your
opponent from the bottom position as we all know if highly emphasized in
grappling. The All legs Speed Builder is tremendous for training escapes in
wrestling, and guard control for BJJ.
Wrestling-
The angle of resistance assists in developing foot speed getting your feet out
from under you into a stand ups or hip separation for switches or other types of
escapes. This product is not meant to be used on your feet as there is a small
ring below the heel of the foot when the attachment is worn correctly.
JuiJitsu- The All Legs Speed Builder is phenomenal directional
resistance for fighting position and keeping the opponent from passing your
guard. Supplementary FOOT CUFF are also available for barefoot training that do
NOT have the ring beneath the foot.
This product is also very good for training lower body abdominal muscles,
adductors & abductors, as well as hip flexors & hamstrings. With three
points to attach the slastix® it is easy to train on multiple planes with
resistance working both eccentric & concentric movements of the muscle.
DOUBLE GUN

More commonly known for striking the Double
Gun is proving to be very successful in the grappling world as it relates to
hand control and takedowns. The wrist straps fit comfortably around the wrist
& thumb to provide resistance if/when you practice on your own, or in a team
environment. The straps around the feet fit over or above the shoe around the
ankle. Resistance levels increase the further from the anchor you get as to
teach the athlete to FINISH the move.
When using the Double Gun in a takedown the athletes first step is resisted to
give the sense of immediate depth into the opponent. Soon after the extension of
the hands, and with the resistance pulling from behind it works as a
self-correct tool training the arms & elbows to stay inside throughout the
movement. Continuing do drive through the opponent, both legs are now under
resistance until the athlete has completed the takedown.
In the sense of an escape, the Double gun is terrific for Stand ups. Clearing
the hands, and getting the feet out from under the athlete seems to be easier
for some over others. The sense of being restricted immediately engages the mind
to move with quickness & power to avoid the opponent gaining control of his
hands.
When using this product in “reverse” or with the resistance in front. Many
wrestlers are using the Double Gun to fight head/hand control & provide
resistance to a sprawl.
All in all the Double Gun is attached to the furthermost parts of the body to
incorporate as many muscles as possible. Whenever the body is stretched, or has
resistance from an outside object the greater the amount of force from the
center of the body to create movement. Athletes using the Double gun in typical
exercises for sport will feel the movement throughout the body, not just the
hands or feet.
KNOCK OUT

Striking with the upper body to most seems to
come with relative ease. However the true power in a strike and form is a
trained skill when dominating sport. The Knock Out Punch by Stroops® is a tool
used to develop the proper body mechanics & eliminate common errors in poor
striking… even for the advanced striker.
When striking, there is a constant pull from behind requiring the use of
abdominal muscles to contract. If the abdominals are not contracting with
resistance the upper body is out of position as the athlete tends to lean
forward putting stress on the shoulders & losing technical form. However,
when striking this resistance is extremely important as the athlete gets a
feeling of the strike generating through the ground. All muscles are
incorporated as the strike finishes with a “snap”.
Striking however does not finish with the extension, but rather bringing the
hands back inside for protection from a potential counter punch or to load up
for an additional strike/combination.

EXPLOSIVE KICK

Explosive Kick is proving to be very successful in the grappling world as it
relates to sprawling & stand up exercises. Straps around the feet fit over
or above the shoe around the ankle. Resistance levels increase the further from
the anchor you get as to teach the athlete to FINISH the move.
When using the Explosive Kick in a takedown the athletes’ first step is
resisted to give the sense of immediate depth into the opponent allowing the
hands to soon follow. This lower body resistance incorporates lower abdominal
muscles, hip flexors & quadriceps in the pursuit of taking down the
opponent.
In the sense of an escape, The Explosive kick teaches the feel to escape from
under the body into a sitting or standing position. The sense that someone is or
may be reaching for the foot requires an immediate aggressive move to maintain
or get control back. Your body’s movement again begins with the abdominal
muscles and hips to extend and maximize the movement. Once the muscles have
“felt” the movement our mind creates a synapse. The more we continue to
perform these exercises the greater & faster this channel of information
passes through our body into action.
When using this product in “reverse” or with the resistance in front. Many
grapplers are using the Explosive Kick in a defensive position & provide
resistance to a sprawl.
KNEE STRIKE

Engaging in battle often incurs close combat,
where generating force in a small area is prime. The Knee Strike requires
tremendous strength from the abdominal muscles, hip flexors & quadriceps to
name a few to develop explosive strikes in a tight space. The Slastix®
component of the Knee Strike provides immediate resistance to the body requiring
the muscles to contract immediately and increase speed & force in a shorter
range.
As athletes develop greater force within the center of their body, the power
& speed that is produced in the extremities is also increased. Take for
instance Lyoto Matchida’s crane kick to the chops of Randy Couture or Anderson
Silva’s front kick to Vitor Belfort in early 2011.
The Knee Strike is also used in functional performance training to engage the
abdominal muscles as well as the glutes, hamstrings & posterior muscle chain
of the post leg in a strike. Athletes can also wear the Knee Strike in reverse
providing resistance to heel kicks & mule kicks.
PERFECT STANCE

A solid stance in any sport is the first line of
offense & defense. It is what we are taught our first day of training, and a
staple that often goes unnoticed by amateur athletes & fighters. The Perfect
Stance by Stroops® aids athletes to be more aware of their foot position while
moving laterally & forward. Whether in boxing, wrestling or any other form
of fighting a solid foundation & stance are an absolute necessary to achieve
any level of success.
Common mistakes that are quickly overcome after using the Perfect stance are;
brining the feet to close together & crossing the feet. The Perfect Stance
creates instantaneous feedback that the feet are out of position when resistance
is lost between the feet. This feedback creates a synapse in the brain and as
this occurrence is repeated your body creates a memory pattern and you begin to
adjust in your movement patterns.
Aside from a basic aid, the Perfect Stance also assists in creating power in a
forward step for a punch, or depth in a takedown attempt. This lower body drive
is often what separates how deep your hips get under your opponent in performing
a takedown.
The Perfect Stance is like eyes for your brain on what is going on in your lower
body while training your upper body. Your legs & feet will feel the
stability, and your upper body will benefit of the power available to it with a
perfect stance.
